Annie Baldwin
Adults, Teens, Children, Play Therapy
I graduated from Dordt University in 2023 with my Bachelor of Social Work and in 2024 with my Master of Social Work and am currently a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate. I have experience walking alongside children, adolescents, and adults facing a variety of challenges including complex and acute trauma, anxiety, depression, life transitions, and emotional regulation. I also have experience serving teens who have autism diagnoses through individual and group therapy. While I am passionate about working with children and adolescents, I love supporting all ages and family dynamics.
As a clinician, I bring a trauma-informed, strengths-based, and client-centered approach to therapy. I believe that each client’s knowledge, experience, and skills are invaluable to the therapeutic process, and I work collaboratively with each client to personalize the therapeutic journey. In session, I integrate elements of body-centered psychotherapies, mindfulness practices, and nondirective play therapy. I believe that knowledge is a powerful tool and incorporate neurobiology and Polyvagal Theory to assist clients in understanding how their brain and body can work together to facilitate growth and create tangible changes. I am passionate about strengthening the mind-body connection, building resiliency, and increasing emotional regulation. It is my goal to create an environment where clients feel safe, heard, and empowered to process their emotions and experiences as they find healing.
